Make the right thing easier to do.

I help growing biotech companies find where GMP quality work gets stuck—and build a clearer, more practical way forward.

More control is not always better control.

I bring structure without adding bureaucracy, so the controls that matter are easier to see and use.

I learned to see the whole process.

I came to Quality through scientific research, cell-based assay development supporting early clinical studies, pharmaceutical QC, and gene therapy Quality operations. Across those settings, I kept returning to the same question: how does the whole process connect, and where is it making good work harder than it needs to be?

Remote by default, with on-site support available in Massachusetts and the greater Boston biotech area when seeing the operation would materially improve the work.

Three ways I can help.

Follow the handoff.

A procedure can look complete while ownership, context, or decisions are being lost between steps.

I start by making the current state visible, talking with the people doing the work, and tracing what happens from beginning to end.

See how I work

The diagram follows one piece of work through five stations in order: work performed, decision made, evidence recorded, review completed, and ownership transferred. Four pieces of information should travel with it: context, decision, evidence, and owner. In the current state, the route breaks between decision made and evidence recorded. Context and owner separate from the work there, and only decision and evidence reach ownership transferred. In the usable future state, the route is continuous and all four pieces stay with the work through every station, ending visible, owned, and maintainable.

Current state

  1. Work performed
  2. Decision made
  3. Evidence recorded
  4. Review completed
  5. Ownership transferred

Separated from the work:

  • Context
  • Owner

Where context is lost

Still with the work:

  • Decision
  • Evidence

Usable future state

  1. Work performed
  2. Decision made
  3. Evidence recorded
  4. Review completed
  5. Ownership transferred

Travelling with the work:

  • Context
  • Decision
  • Evidence
  • Owner

Visible. Owned. Maintainable.

Where I'm most useful.

Growing biotech teams entering a more demanding stage and willing to look honestly at how the work happens.

  1. Approaching regulated work

Informal practices need clearer documentation, traceability, and ownership.

  2. Moving toward filing, launch, or commercialization

Processes built for a smaller organization are carrying more pressure.

  3. Growing operational scale

Hiring, systems, and procedures multiply faster than ownership becomes clear.

Bring me the process everyone has learned to work around.

Tell me what is happening, where the work is getting stuck, and what pressure your team is under. I'll tell you whether it is a problem I can responsibly help with—and what a useful first step could look like.
